Community Nature Program Social Media Posts for Seacoast Science Center

I had a lot of incredible opportunities as an intern for Seacoast Science Center, including creating social media posts for Community Nature Programs every weekend.

The branding and conventions for the posts had already been established, which made my job a bit easier, but it was also a challenge to use the same colors and fonts while still making each post fresh and new. The captions for the posts also had to match the established tone of SSC and have some variety, even though events were often recurring. For the posts themselves, I spent a lot of time playing with different color combinations, ensuring they worked well together and had enough contrast, the layout, and choosing the right photo that fit the information. Though it required some trial and error, it was extremely rewarding to contribute to the Center’s mission of ocean conservation and education.

NH Council of Arts Grant for the 2024 FHS School Movie

I got the amazing opportunity to stay connected to my high school and local community through a grant provided by the New Hampshire Council of Arts.

Throughout high school, I was a member of a group of students and a teacher who worked together to create a 45-minute movie each year. Through the grant, I got to work with a talented group of students again, creating a brochure and movie tickets for the movie showing at the Rochester Opera House. The designs had to be consistent with the movie poster that had already been created, appeal to the high school students attending the movie, and match the film’s mood. The light pink against the pitch-black background mirrored the thrill and mystery of the movie and the modern font matched the preferences of the young audience.
